Grumpy Joe
Interior Design | Angeles City, Pampanga
The newest Grumpy Joe in Pampanga is our biggest and most exciting collaboration with the brand yet. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the warm glow of turung-inspired lighting, those iconic conical hats made of sasa leaves, deeply tied to Kapampangan identity. Just as travelers know they’ve arrived in Pampanga when they spot these hats, we wanted guests to feel that same sense of arrival.
One key feature we introduced in this branch is an enclosed, air-conditioned waiting area, a first for Grumpy Joe. With their famously long lines, we wanted to give guests a more comfortable welcome right from the start.
Inside, the layout unfolds into thoughtfully zoned dining areas, some open and lively for big groups, others more quiet and intimate. Lush greenery adds freshness throughout. A standout feature is the expansive dukit wall, telling the story of the Abacan River and celebrating Kapampangan craftsmanship. You’ll also find Kulitan script framed around the space, grounding the design in local culture.
To complete the experience, we partnered with Arksmith, a homegrown brand, to furnish the space with handcrafted pieces made by local artisans. Every detail was designed to create a space that feels rooted, warm, and proudly Kapampangan.
